Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all lessons and services provided by Nathan Bourne, trading as English Classes Nathan. By booking or purchasing lessons, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services
   I provide one-to-one online English lessons conducted via Google Meet. Each lesson lasts 55 minutes unless otherwise agreed.
2. Booking and Payment
   Lessons may be booked in one of the following ways:
   Single Bookings
   Lessons may be booked directly via Google Calendar. Payment is taken at the time of booking via Stripe.
   Lesson Bundles
   Recurring lessons may be arranged by agreement. These are purchased in bundles of your choice, though many students pay in bundles of 4. Payment must be made in advance via Stripe payment link before the first lesson in the bundle. All lessons must be paid for in advance.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
   Students may cancel or reschedule a lesson with at least 12 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 12 hours’ notice will be treated as a late cancellation and the lesson will be forfeited. No refund will be provided. Failure to attend a scheduled lesson without notice will be treated as a late cancellation.
4. Teacher Cancellations
   If I need to cancel a lesson, it will be rescheduled at a mutually agreed time. If rescheduling is not possible, a refund for that lesson will be provided.
5. Refund Policy
   Lessons and lesson bundles are generally non-refundable once purchased. If you purchase lessons and wish to cancel within 14 days of purchase, you may have the right to a refund under UK consumer law, provided the lessons have not yet begun. By booking a lesson scheduled within 14 days of purchase, you expressly request that the service begins immediately and acknowledge that your right to cancel may be reduced or lost once lessons have commenced.
6. Expiry of Lesson Bundles
   Lesson bundles must be used within 6 weeks from the date of purchase unless otherwise agreed. Unused lessons after this period may expire.
7. Intellectual Property
   All lesson materials, worksheets, and resources provided are for personal use only. They may not be copied, shared, distributed, or resold without prior written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
   While I aim to provide high-quality instruction, I do not guarantee specific outcomes, examination results, or language proficiency improvements. Progress depends on individual effort and practice.
9. Governing Law
   These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
