This website is operated by Nathan Bourne, owner of “English Classes Nathan”, an online English teacher based in the United Kingdom. I am the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through this website and in connection with the online lessons I provide. I may collect and process the following personal data:
Your name, your email address, your time zone, booking details, payment confirmation information, records of our communication, and information you provide during lessons. I do not store or have access to your full payment card details. - How Your Data Is Collected
Your data may be collected when you: Book a lesson via Google Calendar, purchase lessons via Stripe, contact me by email or arrange recurring lessons directly. - Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. I do not store your card details. Stripe may collect and process your data in accordance with its own privacy policy. I recommend reviewing Stripe’s privacy policy for further information. - How I Use Your Data
Your personal data is used to: Schedule and deliver online lessons, communicate with you regarding lessons, process payments, maintain financial records for tax purposes and respond to enquiries. - Legal Basis for Processing
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), the lawful bases relied upon are:
Contract – to provide lessons you have booked
Legal obligation – to comply with UK tax and accounting requirements
Legitimate interests – to operate and improve my business - Data Retention
I retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined above. Financial records may be retained for up to 6 years in accordance with UK tax requirements. Other personal data will be deleted when no longer necessary for the provision of services. - Data Security

My services are primarily intended for adults. If I provide lessons to individuals under the age of 18, parental or guardian consent will be required. - Lesson Recording
